Greetings denizens of Polycount, I don't think many of your follow what's happening on tech-artists.org, but we recently launched our "Community Scripts Initiative" (read about it here: http://tech-artists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=256 ). I won't go into a long explanation of what it because PC is a mostly non-technical…
Sounds cool, I will definitely be looking into this. Hopefully it will grow and improve, are you thinking something like a little SourceForge for Max/Maya scripts?
Sweet stuff man, I'll definitely be checking this out. Not sure how much I'll end up contributing, most of the scripting I do is at work, so I can't really be putting it online, but I'll still be keeping an eye on this. :D
BTW if anyone is interested in what we have planned for scriptspot/future expansion: http://tech-artists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=252 We are brewing up some awesome stuff!
Yeah that's sort of the idea, but because it is much more focused and smaller scope it can have many more connectivity features (between SS, etc). And the forum can take care of many of the SF features, like commentary threads and bugtrackers... we just need to get that automated. Actually I'll post that in the feedback…
