@mr3ddesigner Show us your attempt?! In my opinion generating realistic wrinkles / creases effectively, would rely upon either a cloth sim or sculpting workflow.
Hey guys, I'm trying to make my first realistic model in maya, a plum. 1. Render (vray) and my viewport 2.0 are not similar, plum is more reddish in my viewport and I wanna make it like that in vray. The texture is made with few layered textures with noise as alpha channel. 2. How can I model and texture a realistic…
FLOATERS Finally someone else who finds it as funny as i do :D make sure weight all points is turned on. Xforms are reset. after that try tweaking the falloff value are you working at a realistic scale?
^ Yeah, that script is quite helpful. The weld lines it creates aren't very realistic, the splines it creates along intersecting meshes can be used though (I sculpted just them to add a welded look to a model made with subD)
It seems to work better the more segments I use. I guess maybe I'm just being too anal and it will probably work fine once it's baked and has a more realistic material on it? 64: 16: 16 wires:
@Filip5 M8, show your attempt first if you want modeling input. It would also help to figure out what your goal is. Either way, for a game model, a normal map should suffice. For a viz type realisticrender I would do a heightmap, using displacement and make it maybe 2048 for a single tile. Either way I would take care to…

Gonna make this look realistic as possible. The following piece I am having difficulties with, not sure if this should float or be cut into the…
