Tips on sculpting fur?
Going to be using mudbox to sculpt a german shepard, anyone have any sort of tips or workflow advice on getting convincing fur? -

In ZBrush I'd just turn on Lazy Brush with a custom alpha. Does Mudbox have an equivalent of this? -

Mudbox is a bit different from ZB, the workflow would still be laying down large clumps and then accenting with star strands. You'll have to do it with stencils instead of brushwork and using fewer poly, definitely more challenging, but it depends on your definition of convincing. Main concern is that that the hair looks… -

Oh, Mudbox does not have a lazy mouse. It does have "custom alpha" though. and I guess the video I posted was from zbrush. heh.
