Duke Nukem 3D was a pretty mediocre game that was really only playable because of the Evil Dead / John Carpenter / Schwarzenegger movie references and influences. Yes, people SHOULD be expecting something "revolutionary" (fuck I hate that word) for that type of game. Otherwise they fail as developers if they constantly went back to the drawing board FOR 10+ YEARS to come up with more of the same for the Duke Nukem experience. The video doesn't show much to go by, but overall I was impressed. The original Duke Nukem was one of the first FPS I can ever remember playing, so I'm looking forward to DNF for a refreshing blast from the past. -

I dare you to download the game off Live, play it and then come back here and say that. There are a lot of interesting things that go on in a Duke Nukem level - things to interact with, random unexpected events, interesting structures. The level design itself though is awful. Confusing levels that constantly wind back on… -

I watched it, 12 fricken years ... who's to say they wont start from scratch again, I wish I had their budget, you could release a duke game every 13 months no doubt. -
