$1000 is not a good budget for what you are asking. The first decent notebooks for 3d were about $3000. I'm not sure what they are now, but I'm guessing it's no where near the $1000 mark
yeah 1000 is a bit low for a 3d ready notebook. while you will probably get 1 gig of ram and a core 2 duo the video card will kill you. Saving up a bit more cash and getting up to 2 grand and then you will have a solid notebook.
