Genres left behind and the lovin they're getting..
A few game genres are well past their heyday. And I for one would love to see their return, I was wondering what games you guys know of are on the horizon for these genres, or games you recommend from them, new or old. Adventure games (Grim Fandango style)? Beat em ups (streets of rage) or the similar hack n slashers… -

Adventure games, yeah. They've been making a bit of a comeback however. I'd definitely check out Dreamfall: The Longest Journey, and Indigo Prophecy / Fahrenheit. (European version) Beat'em'ups... Bring back the Fallout days!! Some classics I used to love playing : Baldurs Gates, Fallout1 and 2, Planescape Torment. -

lol I meant to mention that one, but forgot as I started typing out on that particular subject. That game is fucking amazing, and I've only had a chance to play a demo. Uly, check out Silent Storm, if you haven't already. It's a year or two old, but the best Xcom style game around still.
