http://scriptspot.com/3ds-max/max-retopo Max Retopo, A pretty good script, runs in max. It tries to make one mesh conform to another. It works best if you start the mesh on the outside and allow it to shrink. I think its based on Paul Hormis's shrink wrap script? it works pretty well if you freeze the high poly and shift…
I'm trying to build the low poly over the high using the edit topology tools. I'll give the form a try. Thanks. Yes - it's Max I'm using. What scripts would you recommend?
Noobish question alert : I haven't really found a use for scripts at all really apart from one along time ago which was an MD2 exporter. How do you get this up and running?
http://www.topogun.com/betaform.htm By filling out the request form. I'm not sure if they(he) are letting people into the beta or not. Are you building a low poly around a high? If so which other apps do you have access to or use? If it's 3dsmax I can suggest a few scripts that help speed things up.
Yup, they are still letting people into the Topogun Beta. I Got in a few weeks ago. :) It's a great alternative To Zbrush retopo and as a Maya user there is only one expensive option for retopo in Maya. So Topogun fits in right where I need. I am using max now as well, though, so I'll try out those scripts.
