Rendering images of the directx preview with normal maps was pretty easy in XSI 5. I used ultimapper to create the preview material and then I had to change the rendering engine to directx to render images of the directx viewport. In XSI 6 I use the same method to create the material but the render options has changed.…

What you can also do is use a CG Shader Node from the NetView, it will create a normal map material for the OpenGL Viewport.
