Hey, anyone know how they're z-sorting their grass? It's so soft and smooth, can't be alpha-test, gotta be soft alpha on it. But how the heck do they stop the near grass from punching through to the ground? Can't be separate entities for each clump, that would run too slow.
I really like the original savage and this is really cool, those guys have been doing alot of very cool stuff, like the cash for art program and now this, looks like these guys are trying to break out of the chains of the ordinary modern gamedeveloper, i'm preordering this from their site, definitely rooting for these guys.
