I was asking about how to do hair and fur well too. i think poop gave me a link that had some tutorials. see if the search function works here on the forums, or go to www.3dtotal.com and check out their tutorials, i think thats where it was located.
yeah, i want to get better using alpha planes though. i can't seem to get my head around where to position them so they look even remotely like hair or fur. i also didn't want to highjack someone elses thread since he specifically said he didn't want to use alpha planes.
