Out of curiosity, how many custom created models are there for the HL2 deathmatch game? I hate to be nosy but the model section on the polycount frontpage has not been updated for a while.
XSI's the only option, and I can't even get it to work, and who knows if it'll actually work from there. I'll just wait for Milkshape 2.0 and a Hl2 model decompiler and compiler - or those "hl model conversion tools" valve lied about
Well, you're misinformed, because there are plugins to export content for HL2 out of Max and Maya. It is definitely possible to make deathmatch models. The Valve guys even recommend you dissect the .qc files of the models that come with HL2 deathmatch, cause that's how you'll be doing it. Why don't you try learning…
I already know that XSI is the only program that can make content for HL2.. but is it still possible to make custom HL2 models for the HL2 deathmatch??
