Sorry if this isn't in the right place; I wasn't sure where best to post it. I've noticed there's a weird bug when I try to upload some images. I'll often get a random image that fails to upload when it's not too dissimilar to others in size, resolution, and format. I've noticed the ones that load successfully tend to have…
Yeah it's just a bit slow sometimes. The forum software has to scrub your images before hosting, remove metadata, bad headers, etc. so there is a conversion step in there. Generally it's best to use JPG, compresses better so it loads faster for your audience. Our overall footprint is several hundred terabytes these days…
Yup its ezgif, you got it. Thanks E, i didn't know that, tbh idk if i will use it or remember. :p No way to add in a new icon into the forums post section header bar? where bold is ect++. if its too complicated or won't work like that its fine, i'll try to remember.
Ahh, I see. ^^ Great. Thanks. I'll give it a go and see what it's like. I've used EZGif, but I'm happy to swap to something else if Screen2GIF is better.
You mean a shortcut to the animation topic about how to post your work? It's a sticky in that section. I can add it to the Information About Polycount & New Member Introductions but I think it'll just be ignored like everything else lol.
No, iam717 just likes using colored text. One of the best GIF (and video) makers I've found: Screen2GIF. You can also use iot to make mp4, webm, apng, etc.
Yeah i ran into this thing, idk, i just use outside sources now since i can't be bothered. Just to mention cause its what i use, hopefully they do not do anything with the imgs they say the remove them after 1 hour or so. So you have to save the files & reupload elsewhere, but i use the video to gif website, i use it cause…
I don't think the first one did initially. I had to optimise and lower the size down before it uploaded. I'll try just using JPGs from here on, but I'm sure the same issue happens whether with JPG or PNG.
