Hello everyone, today I've finished the high poly of my Glock 19 model, my main goal is to add as much detail as I can while keeping it with a low poly count. Please feel free to leave any feedback! I've made a simplified interior for the slide and frame. The recoil spring is already compressed so when the slide is open I…
Here is the most difficult part that I'm doing right now, the polymer frame. I'm trying to understand this material and replicate it but it always looks different on the refs, on some refs it will look very smooth and in others very crisp lol Any feedbacks are always appreciated.
@DiamondDog Wow that Glock is looking very cool man, your HP is very clean too! Thank you, and I'm also going to be looking forward to see your progress on that great handgun.
I've started the Low Poly stage, it's being a good learning experience to judge areas that will receive more or less geometry. The new boolean system in Blender 2.91 is amazing!
Should bake nice, also weird how on these guns the working parts are visible between slide and pistol grip assembly - what budget are you aiming at for the low?
I forgot to update the thread but here is the final low poly already UV mapped. The poly count is around 6,515 tris, it went waaaay below what I expected which is good but challenging for the normal map, I'm still learning better tricks to optimize the models.
