I am also wondering this, I have this issue with both Marmoset 3 and 4, is there any solution to this? The fbx with history deleted is fine for me but then the animation is gone. I also have it so some meshes have the issue and some don't.
I never managed to really fix it, what I ended up doing was exporting the mesh with the animation in the Alembic format. It kept the animation and texturing and I could use them in marmoset in the end.
actually sort of found a solution from the older forums. The mesh is probably rigged with geodesic voxel, so I had to re-rig my stuff with the bind method of closest distance and copy the bone weights over. Still kinda annoying
