Is unreal applying a tone mapper on textures by default ? Is this gonna affect how the basecolor is displayed in the engine or is it just affecting the unlit mode? If your material is metallic, then it will appear darker in unlit more. Also, specular value by default is 0.5. Changing it also changes the appearance of your material in unlit mode.
