Hiya guys, I've been trying to get my workflow for fly-through rendering animation down in 3ds Max and have been experimenting a lot (wasting a ton of time, mainly, but it's for a good cause ... right?!) and watching a bunch of Youtube videos. And while there are some good ones out there, they really clarify the process…
Also Vray has it well documented on their site for both fly-through and animated object conditions. https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/VRAY3MAX/Rendering+an+Animation+with+Moving+Objects+II And also if the scene is simple enough you might be able to send without any prepass by using the medium or high animation presets in…
It's a pretty complex scene with some heavy geometry I can't optimize any further, and I wanted to learn more about best practises :) I did come across that page at some point but perhaps glossed over it a bit too fast. I'll give it another look, thanks.
Oh yes, you're right, it is Vray! Added. Oh wow SolidRocks looks very interesting. I'll give the free version a try. Thanks! The only downside I can see right off the bat is that there's very little to find about it on Youtube. Certainly very little recent.
This sounds like V-Ray, but you never mention it. Should put it in the topic title. I'd recommend getting SolidRocks toolset, he automates this whole mess.
