Another update! Only got one asset left to do, and then sounds. The whole thing now has animations (curtains, fish in water, light beams, other fabrics, plants and ivy), and I've spent a while trying to get the lighting right. I'm still not satisfied with it though, but not sure why! Any opinions/crit? :) -

I love this idea! I see what you're going for with the right-hand example, although I agree with the person who said that animated water might be difficult in that style. I'm confident you can pull it off though. Subscribed! (Also, Robin Hobb is great) -

I like the left one more as well but I think it's not so much the technical side. Maybe it's just the fact that there are more areas you can look at where there's not so much going on. The right one has lots of cast shadows and contrast and the left one has warmer lighting and less prominent leafs. It's a great idea in any… -

Nice to see the progress! At first I thought it was a bit noisy, but looking more into it I think it can actually work in your favor. Kill the post process, and get the lighting working properly without it. I haven't touched Unreal in a long time, but there must be options for ambient environment lighting, from your background elements. When that's bright enough for ambient, then add local point lights, one by one. Basically, keep it as simple as… -
