That script looks cool. I personally prefer modelling in orthographic mode anyway. And I'll switch to perspective every now and then to check the proportions. I find that many functions are broken in perspective and work much better in orthographic view, unfortunately.
Coming from Blender when I switched to Max it was one of the first thing I wanted to change, I asked on their forum and the answer was "not possible" at the time.
That script in that post isn't fully functional. I've taken a different approach by waiting until the view is done orbiting and then convert the viewport. The only issue is that this effectively blocks Orthographic view, but that's not hard to figure out if needed. --CONVERTS USER VEW INTO…
