If I were you I would replace your existing monitor rather than buy one to be used as a secondary. Your monitor has a TN panel which means poor viewing angles and color accuracy, so its not particularly good for art content creation. You should look for a monitor with an IPS panel of some sort, you may have to settle for… -

50 cm desk?! Is that a typo? I could just about fit 2 23" monitors on my 1m table. I think getting a new desk should be a higher priority. Assuming that you have room for one. I just upgraded to a 160cm ikea galant desk and it's awesome. Would recommend it to anyone. :thumbup: -

I don't know about hooking up a console to it, but 16:10 is really nice for art. That extra bit of vertical screen space is great for content creation apps. I've said it before but I'll say it again, if you're getting a 1920x1080 screen, it doesn't make much sense to get a 24" or 27" over a 22" or 23" as all you're paying… -

Yeah you're paying for the stand. There are only so many panels out there, chances are you can find other brand monitors using that same panel as well. Afaik LG makes all the IPS panels, or rather anything advertised as IPS, as LG owns the patent for the term, though plenty of similar technology exists, Samsung has PLS… -

Damn that U2412M it's interesting but it's still offbudget...Since I can't find anyone selling an 2340 in EU (edit: nvm I've found it it's 2340L, however I might get the 2240L) , what you guys think about the P2314H ? -

I have a 2412M flanked by two S2240Ls. All three are quite nice. The 2412 has a matte screen and the 2240s (which are just smaller versions of the 2340) are covered by glass, so they could cause glare depending on how they are situated. I've found by default the settings on the 2240s were much "punchier" than the 2412.…
