Thanks for the reply, it's been a pain but I finally managed to figure it out... I have to re-import my makehuman character, export its skin weights, remove the excess geometry and bones, move the leftover geometry and bones to origin, detach the skin from the arms and reset the rig's transformations, then I imported back…
