   This is what bothers me most, and keeps me on older versions of max. Nearly every single update breaks something (mostly plugins, sometimes scripts).

   Seems the bandwagon & speculation is strong on this one aha! I think it could work, if autodesk pulled their collective thumbs out of trying to dominate the market and did something useful with the software.    I'm one of those people, I bought zBrush over 10 years ago for ~$300 and it's been kept up to date ever since. At this point I feel like I owe them money and I keep expecting one of these updates to be paid but they aren't.
