Well like ClusterOne pointed out I feel like the diffuse map is very boring and doesn't pop. I generaly use a hand painted texture approach so any advice on that is appreciated.
Its hard to give critique when you don't tell us what exactly you are having difficulty with. Did you need pointers on texturing in general or just for hand painted textures? The only real feedback I can give right now is that it looks really flat and boring--this is probably because you are only using a diffuse map.
