Also, I'd really suggest to get a tablet of some sort, you can pick up a decent used Intuos for $50 USD or so, but painting with a mouse will really restrict what you'll be able to create effectively.

That's a big improvement! Your colors are starting to mud together, it's better than your older attempts, but all of the colors are really soft and blended.
