Just picked up the same monitor a few weeks ago. For $550 it's great and offers a ton of on screen adjustments. Also. You'll never go back to 1080p after working with 1440p for a few days. The difference is incredible. -

I have a ASUS 144hz monitor and I think it's worth it if you have the money. You're rig can handle 144hz in anything really. It's game changing for playing games at least. I use a vertical Dell 2412m to model on. Great monitor. My horizontal monitor is a Korean Crossover 27q. Love it to death and about about to buy another to replace my Dell. -

Secret tip: Check out the Yamakasi Catleap or similar on Ebay (But ebay only) They come straight from Korea where the panels are made, are dirt cheap (around 300-350 euro) but have no features whatsoever. Any asus IPS is decent for gaming because of tracefree that only they have. if you're a professional artist you owe it to yourself to get a proper IPS display. TN panels found in "gamer" monitors are meant to respond very quickly, but have piss poor viewing angles, color, black levels etc. do not trust TN monitors for color sensitive work. the latest revision Dell U2413 is the best all rounder…
