Well, often the problem is that when you didn't know about someone views, you just saw the whole thing you experienced, be it games, movies ect, as one whole unit. It depends on the level to which I disagree with the figure head and my ability to affect them. Very tough question. It really comes down to sentiment vs reason. If we let sentiment rule our actions, no matter what side you are on, it starts to tread dangerous territory as its not necessary tied to purchasing power. I was a big fan of George R. I don't really boycott products just because of someones opinion and unless the person was an activist or highly influential I don't even think it'd be very helpful. Even then, I've bought books in the past from authors I thought were nuts specifically to read about their points of view so I've bought stuff intentionally… -

Question, at which point is someone actually backwards vs. just bad PR or lack of skills when it comes to communication. The entire "Japanese games are shit" was exactly the type of thing someone who never gave a speech would say, since they don't connote how people would react to public wording like that vs. what close…
