Hi Everyone, I normally work in real time rendering with UDK, but am currently working on a pre rendered animation with 3ds max and vray. Do any 3ds Max experts know if there is an equivalent to the "panner" node from UDK's material editor in Max's slate material editor? I have thoroughly googled for any kind of solution…
you can either animate the unwrap in the uv editor or where you load the bitmap there is an offsett value in the material editor. you can animate that aswell.
Yep you can animate the UV's a number of different ways like some people above talked about. You can also create a short loop and have it repeat indefinitely. To do that, you open the curve editor, select the track(s) that you animated, go to controllers, and pick Out of Range Types and set it to loop.
There is the UV XForm modifier which lets you translate and scale etc. existing UV coordinates. Parameters are animatable of course. This is a per object modifier BTW. If you want it for the material animating the UV Offset is okay , why not ?
