Texturing is not something I know a lot about. I have began tutorials but something I am missing is how to texture with pre-made textures or photos like the 3dsk content. I read some people even "mix" textures. Anyone have a tutorial in mind that can help me? Tips too would be appreciated.

Search around for Racer445 and I'm sure you'll find useful things. And if you don't mind paying, then websites like Eat3D or 3DMotive have some great tutorials - such as "The…
Here is the link in case you have a hard time finding it. It's more of a workflow than a tutorial. Just talks through the process about various ways to achieve things and good texturing theory.
OK OK I'm learning something today! So the workflow is this : Make a high poly for all the details then make a low poly which you will actually use for the game, and unwrap the low poly instead. So all the detail from the high poly is transformed, if you will, from polys to textures? Is that what "baking normals" means? I…
there is no purpose in unwrapping the high poly, most people just use it for bakeing normals, and AO to the lowpoly, which it dosnt need uv's to do. olny hte low poly needs UV's.
Hi guys I started trying my luck with UVW Unwrap and I have these green lines over some of the edges of the head. It makes it impossible to tell whether the edges are being selected or not. Can anyone shed some light on this?
