@OrganizedChaos: I see :( I guess 95%+ positive rating is really hard to achieve now :( It's a bit of a shock to see more than 95% positive rating one day and see less than 80% positive rating the next day
Cool but... I'm surprised with how many typos are in it... and out of a 2 hour+ interview that was 95% positives about the workshop, she only used the negative things I said :( . I really think the workshop and the community are awesome I swear! XD
When you have not enough votes, you can have 95% approval rating on your item and it will show 4 stars anyway, at least it happened with most of my items. For a more detailed info on how your item is faring in terms of popularity, check the stats tab, located on top of the page.
True. I have noticed that factor too. And this factor is damn strong. Having about 150votes u can beat items with 500 or even more. People may say that popularity in most_popular_page is not so important, i think that is a mistake. Votes count, 95% or higher upvotes, thats all matters. Sure, Valve will look, is this item…
Although this totally is your personal preference (which I respect!), This is kind of like, exactly what not to do when creating renders, and bad advice/practice. Black = Color Deadzone = instant composition killer 95% of the time. Dark is fine (look at the polycount theme for example), but black is bad. I think the baby…
I do feel that the community will benefit greatly if Valve decided to comment on items that meet a certain statistic (say 95% like, 500+ ratings). I've recently gotten great feedback from them (fixing blends between fire and ice on jakiro ward as well as better animations, updates on texture for a courier im doing) and it…
I have a technical question about creating textures for my Dota2 item. This is the first time I've ever created an item for dota 2 and I was wondering about the texture size requirements. I'm making a saddle for Alchemist and on the hero resources it says that the saddle texture can only be 256x256 but the saddle texture…
good idea kite. I'm using an nvidia 660ti. My normals are just set to the base colour, i double checked my mask1 and mask2 for issues, it all follows the valve guide very closely. I did 95% of the texturing in photoshop, with a little adjustment in mudbox. edit1:Installing the 332.21 driver now to see if that helps at all.…
