So I've been attempting to open a .ma file on maya, but it stops at 91% when reading the file and just doesn't open. I think last time I had it open my computer crashed, and I'm wondering if it's been corrupted. I'm linking a download to the file to see if anyone else can open it. Geforce6800GT and Maya video corruption.
I just bought an Asus V9999GT Geforce6800GT 256 card, to my dismay I installed the card and now in Photoshop and Maya there are green and white dots that flicker around the screen as you pan the camera, I'm pretty sure this is a driver issue as I installed the latest Nvidia drivers and this made the problem worse, as well… -
Maya 2011 UV corruption
I just recently had this problem on Thursday. I UVed an object and i saved it to my c drive and then copy and pasted that file on my external hard drive. Try this on... Open the .ma/.mb in wordpad and doing a find & replace on the value below. Find: #QNAN Replace with: 0 (thats a zero) then... Save as .ma/.mb I cant guarantee that this will work, but it worked for me twice in two times this has happened to me. Maya (or a goblin :poly122:) corrupts vertex data and maya… -

This has been happening with maya for several versions. Once maya flakes out and decides to corrupt something you can work for hours and not know it, happily saving multiple versions just to be safe.
