Well, now i'm trying to create a bust of Peter the Great (/the First). Unfortunately i've jammed nearly at 60k points in ZBrush, because he has a lots of portraits but on each of them he looks different, so i can't decide which of them i should finalize. Therefore, i'm waiting for your recommendations about him. Also i'm…
Can't seem to figure out how to make a if then statement change 2 things. What I want is... If 'something' == true then (do this and this) else (do this) What I am trying to do is create an edit poly NURMS toggle. I would like it to NURMS Subdivision on and Show Cage off, then go from 1 iteration, 2 iteration and back off.…
Ive been rendering a certain 600 frame scene for about a week non-stop and i'm getting a little fed up. Currently I'm rendering using my 2500K 4.4ghz, and I'm wondering if it would be possible to share the rendering load somehow. I have a fairly decent GPU (Geforce 570) and also another computer composed of my old computer…
Setting up these relatively low poly assets, roughly 500 tris each. I'm okay with the meshes but the textures just aren't convincing me. Textures have always been a bit frustrating to me so I'd like to hear any kind of feedback or if I'm missing something painfully obvious direct me to a Textures 101 tutorial if it's that…
That's quite a bit of RAM! I am concerned about the card, however, as the Suite requires a GTX 600 series or better as its minimum requirements. I'm not sure if the 580 is the root of this issue. Was this a fresh installation of the Suite - as in, you installed it for the first time? Or was it upgraded from another…
Right, as promised here is the wire shot. Like I said, it's messy so I'm in no way someone you should take 101's from. To me, as long as the model looks good then it's sufficient for rendering and baking. You only really need to worry about good topology when it's for animation or movie work... Wire
Thank you for your appreciating DireWolf :) the Hull is my nightmare: http://www.plasmainfusion.com/EFX%20Xwing%201.jpg As you can see, here the shape flows nice from the tip to the back of the hull, but we know that in box modelling it's similar to an exagonal shape, so how could I achieve this nice flowing result?
Hmm... I'm not too sure what the guys in the links I posted are talking about. :poly136: Here's what I did earlier, which seems to work: I also did this by scaling a group parent -100%. I think the key is to Freeze Deformation. Here's the lxo if you want to take a look at it, Modo 501(sp2).
Wow, how many years of experience do you need to have to charge 400$-600$/day? (edit: sorry those numbers are from the link that was given) I mean, I'm not doing freelancing but when I thought of it, I was assuming I'd charge about 10$/hr as a beginner artist. Do such prices even exist?
Max and Maya aren't so great with animated textures. In max you have to use a IFL file, which is basically a text file that tells it play a sequence of images. Make sure your files are numbered sequentially (001, 002, 003 ect) and then you pick the first image, check on "Sequence" and it will build a IFL file for you.
