supposedly they are realeasing 1 official Nintendo made game a week for 13 weeks, or so i hear from the hot chick at the gamestore here. Should be an awesome launch to say the least.
turn off all lights and globals and just "paint" with one light at a time with vray just throw 1 or 2 big area lights in the scene and that should be all you need.

I would just keep this as a cinimatic/closeup lod. Optimise it and then make new UVs on a different channel and bake the lot down to 1 x 2048. Shouldn't loose much detail.

move the shells of the copies on the U or V axis by 1 UV unit this will make it so they don't bake over each other but have them sample from the same part of the texture.
