Thanks a lot for all the advice so far. I think the proportions are ok now. I gave him a hammer made of 44 tri's, and a ball chained to his ankle which has 1036 tri's. And I modified the cloth parts a bit, I hope I'm in the right direction.
Ahhh memories:) Hard to believe some of this stuff is 2+ years old cause it's fantastic as ever. I especially dig the Grav Hammer. You've got my number when you're ready to start looking. also I'd like to request the meat pig be resurrected in this thread:) MEAT PIG!!!!
I'm not trying to hid the fact that they could have copied their gameplay from War Hammer. I'm just saying if they did I wouldn't think less of them because they somewhat made it their own and it was a great idea to turn that table top kind of play into a video game where a larger audience could play it.
I got tired of Hammer Editor when it kept crashing when it was creating the nav_mesh, plus I couldn't import Maya models into the game. So, I went to UDK. I just started messing with it, and I created a basic apartment. Not sure if I want to make a level or just a pretty landscape.
working on the first texture of my life, crits so far, and suggestions on how to correct my problems. its fun learning PS :D ***there are black lines on the edges near where the hammer rotates into, not sure whats causing them, i think it might be my ao map ill check it out!
Yeah I think bringing in some bone structure for the neck and collarbone would be great as well! Just anything that you can still capture that feel of the hammered iron while allowing for a little more movement or flexibility. Looking forward to the new updates and good luck getting that sculpt to where you want it to be!
i think that what b1ll means is that besides polys existing without purpose , the face seems squashed , like if it was hammered against a wall , his shoulders could be a bit wider . yeah the hair might red whell when textured still it reads as "blocky" and isnt due to non existance of smoothing groups.
Here are a few models that I went back to for some re-touching. Just worked on smoothing groups, topology, and added some color to the models. Nothing to complex. Let me what are your thoughts in the comments, and thank you! Axe model Mace model Flail model Hammer model Shield model Sword model
Hello every one, I recently finished a environment piece with the purpose of practice in UDK , its based on a concept art of war hammer that I found on the Internet , I'm not sure if I'm allow to post the image since is not mine but if I am allow let me know please. Here the scene in UDK, all textures are hand painted.
Aloha, again! I got here my 2nd demo piece, a higher-end snowboarder, more or less for show. I hammered her out it about a day and a half, and I'm running short on time! XD But here's what I'd like! Critiques! (she's come a long way from my first attempt at human models methinks)
