Make sure you're using the latest version of the SUITE - some of these steps cannot be replicated otherwise. I'll go over all steps just in case anything was missed. Add New Map from dDo's menu -> Opacity In the Opacity map, use white to define opaque materials and black to define transparent materials, and values…
Body update #2 So working in the anatomy and proportions, right now the torso arms and legs are separate because im trying to just get the overall sillouhuette in first. heres some things I need to work on still. - The Hips groin area still needs to be worked in (lol) the anatomy and shape of the hip needs to be defined -…
In Zbrush you can use the Planar brushes to get some well defined planes before you star adding damage and weathering. The cool thing about them is that they work quite well both in the additive and substractive mode. This way, you can get well defined planes even in areas where two planes of your rock meet. Flatten and…
yes its an issue you can bump into. normally this is only produced by the first displacement. the cellularmap. then again, most of the time at its high sharp edges. perhaps its something with its first and second deivision color. that are the values, that define the highest peaks or in other words, that divides each cell…
I think that depends entirely on where you take that pole. You take it in Saudi Arabia, then they will say they are both vile porn (if they could even identify an open anus, which I doubt). There are only so many ways you can define a concept. If you aren't going to define it by the motivation in creating it, then what? By…
hehe ok I'll keep the tail:) not too happy with the sculpt so I'll hit that up later tonight. As far as the weapon goes- I think I'm going with the staff so that nasty ass bird can perch on it-Thanks guys- KyleParsons- good points I'll try and manipulate the low res to get a better more full feeling to the chest. Armor…
I agree with removing a lot of the information around the mouth. With ski masks they're never very defined. If anything you'd need to pay more attention to how the fabric will stretch (maybe even slightly overdo how much the jaws would move) than defining lip shape. Look up videos of skiing and hope to god they're talking…
thanks for the CC! i do agree with you about the fan being rather lacking in color. i think i need to adjust the spec map to really show the colors on it. ill definately try and correct that. also i need to fix the electrical pipes on the fan as well. they dont look like rubber or plastic like i was kinda hoping for. again…
I feel like so far Slosh has given the best advice, which is (he can correct me if I'm interpreting him wrong), but: try to stop delineating muscles and anatomy with thin lines. Instead of 'etching' on the surface of your blockout, try to think in general terms of shape and mass. The problem I see you having is that your…
I have a recurring problem with my drawings. Everything seems to be going along well. The proportions seem fine at the start - middle phases of the drawing. But as soon as the features get more defined I notices the mistakes in proportion that I failed to see when for example in placing the eye I notice the face is…
