Hi, everytime I import my fbx model into Marmoset some of the parts aren't showing up. In Blender everything looks fine and when I imported the same model into substance painter everything showed up fine and I was able to texture everything without issue. Does anyone know what the problem might be?
Dear polycount community, I am currently experimenting with pushing an animated box over a plane. The ultimate goal would be to have all of the faces inside have a different material ID. For this I set up my plane as follows: (order is like in the max modifier panel) [Material ID] (<- set to 2) [Volume Select] (<- set to…
So I usually bake my things in substance painter but I'm a little tired of having to work around the inter sectional errors when I have multiple meshes overlapping. I already have marmoset for rendering but want to use it's baker since it has a multiple baking group function that will help with those overlaps, however,…
@pior Also didn't have a drawing tablet at the time, actually still don't but currently looking at XPen's Artist 12 for what I want to do plus within budget of what is affordable. As for using AD to sketch with, well once I became comfortable dealing with each layer - masked curve grouping and various output settings this…
Firstly, don't use Groups...Groups are evil... Have you tried Custom Attributes instead of a slider...you should be able to keyframe them no problem... Also you don't need the Depends On part in the new script controllers... Workflow: Create a helper Object (or use the base of your gun), add an attribute Holder Modifier…
EDIT: Fixed problem, can't delete post. It was caused by some hidden polygons that Maya sometimes likes to create when you bridge faces (inside that shoe) -.- Original post; Title pretty much says it all, I imported all the bits of my character and I can subdivide all of the objects normally except the body. Mudbox just…
Sorry, i already found someone. Thanks! I have got some highpoly 3DS Data and need them to be turned into clean lowpoly models with Material IDs. Thats how the file Looks now. Too many Polys, too many single objects: And thats another file that is already final. Adjusted Polycount, only one Mesh, no interieur: As you can…
Hey Polycounters, I can't seem to figure out how to hotkey either a toggle or either functions for Orbit Sub-Object vs Orbit Point of interest. While modeling I like to be able to switch between the two for different purposes. I can only find a hotkey to call up the trackball for the current mode, but nothing to switch…
Hi there, I am curious to see what people think on here. I am a student at University trying to become an environment artist and I am curious as to when its appropriate to use bevels and when to not. Also, when would you high poly to low poly bake or when to low poly bake only? I am currently working on a Resident…
