     i would go with either 2 or 3 , with 1 you get drawn too much to the leggs because of the orange , and with 6 idk why but personally i dont like it :p

     Idk to be honest. Put ur hand over the head and see the proportion of the hands and body. Then move ur hand. Maybe scale the head up a bit instead of making the hands smaller?

     IDK, the gun looks a little blocky when you baked all the details down into the normal map. The greyer materials at the center of the gun look more like slate than metal.

     Idk if you plan to keep that cream color but I love it. Very calm looking to me which gives a nice contrast to your first one looking bright and exciting and all.

     I had a similar issue at work yesterday- had to shut down max and start up again- also lots of random crashes too, even when it's idling in the background..... grrrr
