I'd see what everyone else says on which version. 2016 was a bit flaky and 2018 had some issues - 2019 seems OK but as I said above I rarely work on max these days so can't vouch for stability of any of them.
Lol :D Thank you guys for your kind words ! Please don't hesitate to look at all the other artists from the WoW team on Artstation ! :) https://magazine.artstation.com/2018/09/blizzard-entertainment-world-warcraft-art-blast-visual-development-environments/
I tried a few methods of achieving transparency with a spec map in marmoset and each one failed miserably for me lol. I have not tried since upgrading to 108 though. If you figure it out I sure would like to know how it was done.
My last reply was in March of 2017, which is about a year ago. The toolset supports 2017 and 2018 now. Another cause for this issue would be an unverified install of Photoshop. Is your install sourced from the Creative Cloud application or from a third-party vendor?
For future reference, it's official name is the "Transformation Border". The 2018 release added an option to turn it on and off, so while that's not useful to you and there's no way to actually control the size of it now, that kind of update might just be the first step towards creating such an option for future releases?
This remind me about "Lost" (TV series) when you living alone on an island, and have to press the damn button every 108 minutes to save the world. Well, that sleep circle make sense, otherwise I think I would go crazy
I'm using Maya 2018. I'm trying to apply a displacement map to this sphere so it's seamless from all angles. The material I'm using is aiStandardSurface, if that's any help. Displacement map: My UV layout: To do the UV layout I just did 'UV > Spherical' If anyone can give me a hand I'd greatly appreciate it! :D
Thank you very much! So the way i made the wires was by firstly making a cv curve outline, then going to generate, add curve utilities then add brush stroke and playing around in the setting (all in maya 2018). After that i made a highpoly and baked the detail down in substance.
Will do Swordslayer. Btw in Max 2018, are you able to assign a short-cut key to "Toggle Grid Snap" in "Main Menu" via Custom UI? I was speaking to Neil Blevins and strangely enough the button obviously works in the quad menu, yet max script will not execute the command to toggle it..
MAYA 2018 Interesting... After playing around with this a bit more, it looks like you have to be in FACE mode in order for this to work. If I switch to OBJECT mode and select the move tool, it reverts back to the generic x, y, z planar orientation for the object. OBJECT MODE FACE MODE
