Nice start so far. I must admit i'm a big fan of Noah Bradley's work myself, the hardest part to pull off will be replicating the lighting I bet. I look forward to watching your progress.
Thanks for all the replies guys, I heard there was an actual 'Blizzard Particle Creator' but I can't imagine it would be too hard to replicate sprite effects in Maya...will look into it and see what I can come up with :D
I don't think this is a good idea to try to replicate exactly the maya workflow. after selected the first vertex, pressing ctrl+another vertex lets select the vertices in the shortest path. no need to increse the selection 1 by 1.
Yeah he could easily replicate that with the same meshes or make low res versions since it's just pure black and in the distance which DoF will naturally take over. It's exciting :O mainly cause i love Naruto!
I have created a very simple digital radio clock using the reference of dekogon on sketchfab https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/alarm-clock-b833fde05d9543688dfd21621c7a7e49 and i have tried to replicate it and need some feedback on this visit this https://www.artstation.com/artwork/W215k2 and share your thoughts
This is actually an HD sprite I made in pieces to animate in Spine and then try to replicate in 3DSMAX. Colors are HSVed to his original (meaning they can be adjusted in-game): Body is based on his SVC sprite: Head is based off his SF2 portraits (Turbo and TNC):
This is brilliant - I'd really like to see more into the "making of" so that it's a bit easier to replicate - do you just send the next person a slice of a 3D plane where your body part ends? Like a CT scan?
More helmet WIP a lot of tedious tweaking/adding. Need to get that design language down along with the readability then I think the other parts will be a lil easier to do since ill have a set idea of what to replicate.
Thanks Monkey. Yeah the lower jaw isn't done yet. I just been focusing on getting the head to look right, and then replicating that for all of the other textures. I'm going to make the corrections you suggested and continue to update.
you got any context to that gif? looks like some kind of custom tool from Duber. probably not something that can be replicated easily. you might try 2 IK chains and swtich the arm in between them.
