As far as I know, quixel relies entirely on photoshop, therefore I doubt what you're asking for is possible. I agree that currently, it is sometimes a hassle because of the instability. i dont think copy/paste mask work with custom mask. You have to copy/paste them manually. when you have dynamask open, you can clic on the brush icon (buttom of ui window).
