I am not exactly sure why you want a hipoly as an end result, but even if its for film you would decimate a copy of the hipoly meshes, import them and retopo in max. At my school they kinda drilled into us early that everything has to be welded and airtight, because of the previous unreal engine lighting...and my furniture really showed that my mindset was still there when making them. Right now a lot of the dirt looks like the overlay that you used, most noticeably on the thigh armor. Overlays are good, but I think you should tone it down for more subtle variations and go in and paint the dirt and grime in logical locations. It needs paint chips! chipping around the edges letting the silver metal… -
