Thanks guys. @Joopson i appreciate the suggestion. I'll consider recording my next prop :) I honestly didn't record before because i always start my work with the feeling that the result will be garbage... I added a clock to the scene. Stationary light and bake seams everywhere lol The struggle is real with UE4 :p
Appwise komodo edit, for music I use shoutcast Google add on for chrome.. For anatomy on Android I use real body works they have two apps in the playstore. There's a free version of ace project on Google Chrome which allows you to clock your productivity.. Stay focused is awesome to block out Facebook, twitter, etc.
/desk flip /smile-wink hahaha 8hrs a day I'm paid to animate characters. The rest of the time I'm a hobbyist working on other stuff I find creatively rewarding. I love my job but its hard to tell which one clocks more of my time/attention... maybe work... MAYBE =P
rockstar, those cards are gddr2, and GS editions, less pipes and clocked down. just fyi. they are'nt very powerfull cards. A single true 7900 would blow those out of the water, even sli. 2 gigs ram indeed. i would personally wait for the intel conroe. SATA 2 drive obviously.
I'm one of those people that NEVER jumps right into fresh OS. I did it in the past and it cost me dearly. I'm still on Win 7 and not touching it unless I MUST. 4770K with 16GB or RAM and keep you GPU. Clock it on safe 4.2GHz (add some better cooling) and have fun. That's what I would do.
This sort of thread pops up every now and then... Perhaps it would be a good idea to have a sticky thread that relates everyones tips & tricks for staying motivated. Booyakasha! *Edit * Post 111.. man I'm seeing that number all the time now. 11:11 on the microwave/oven/alarm clock. Anyone else seeing 11:11 frequently?
I've just reinstalled Blender and it did not fix the problem. Could it be my pc? I have an old laptop with an AMD A6-3400 APU with 500MB of VRAM clocked at 1.4GHz and only 4GB of RAM. Could that be the problem? I am not trying to open large files. I think the largest one I have is only 5 to 10MB.
I think it looks great, really fun! I would be interested to know the tri count of your low poly 'cause with all those tiny tubes I would still think it would be pretty high! There does seem to be a small issue at the top left of the clock counter - maybe it was intentional but it looks a little strange. Great work!
Well, sub contract out some of the work to freelancers or friends. A week before the deadline start dropping hints about how the deadline is really tight and it's gonna be hard to make it on time. Have something to show the day before the deadline, say you've been working round the clock, and ask if you can get a little…
PROTIP: If you're using the demo and you aren't quite ready to plunk down the cash for the full license... set the clock back on your computer and you can use it as long as you want. It just never seems to work properly for me, even with a folder set up specifically for autosaves and stuff. I've kind of given up on it now.
