Yes adaptive relax should be the default, its what i used 99% of the time. The only time i dont want adaptive is when i need to use unwrap relax with pinning points. Adaptive relax should be the first thing you do to your uvs after selecting edges and hitting unwrap. I usually do it a couple times with a strength of about…
Bad news :( it looks like the upgrade to Mudbox 2010 from 2009 is $375 add a subscription on top of that for another $250 and we're up to $625... I don't know about the rest of you but I'm thinking of goingZ right about now. I Wish I could go back in time to when they were Skymatter and tell myself it's a "bait and switch"…
There's also that Maya Indie version that's been out for a bit. I think I got mine for like 250 USD for the year. I know for the outsource studio I'm with about half our artists are Blender users. It really just depends on what you can do with the tools you have like Tim said.
"(so no I did not save the smoothed version of the model)" Always save your work. Looks like some versions have grip on the front. Not sure if you were going to add that as well. http://vignette2.wikia.nocookie.net/deadliestfiction/images/4/4f/Iwi_tavor_tar21.jpg/revision/latest/scale-to-width/250?cb=20130411001955
It's a rough guideline for you, not necessarily how you charge the client (though it could be). You estimate how many hours it is going to take you and use that to quote the client a price. For example, if I think a project will take me 10 hours and I expect a $25/hour rate, I would quote $250 as my price.
Not sure if any peeps are interested in LW on PC but, I'm selling my Lightwave 2015 and Octane 2.0 licenses(which includes the Lightwave 2.0 and Blender 2.0 plugins) Lightwave 2015 - $550, Octane 2.0 (with Plugins) - $395 Payments accepted through paypal.
Hello! I am trying to import a plane in to Mudbox 2012 that is a very large scale (250 square meters). It seems to import fine, but then Mudbox has a problem displaying the object. It's like its not even there. The object shows up in the Object list, but in the viewport I just get an empty background. Any ideas? I'm trying…
So here goes my first post. I finished today hi-poly and low poly mesh. My goal was making it as detailed as possible since it's quite simple model. Low poly is 2312 tris right now, second LOD is going to be around 250 tris. I think I'll to be UVing and baking next day. Any advices before baking in 3dsmax?
Okay... yesterday, I coulda sworn I saw multiple sites claiming the rumoured range for the NGP would be $250-$300... and now I don't see that anywhere... it must have all been a crazy dream in which I thought Sony would launch with something at an affordable price. Thanks for bringing me back to cruel reality :( Ah well,…
