I wanted to make an environment designed for playstation portable. I had this old medieval church/graveyard in mind for a 3rd person type of game. This is the outcome so far, 495 triangles, 2x128x128 textures. render (it's not meant to be seen in this way, but it still holds up) psp shot (sony playstation portable users,…
So I have a Photoshop action to save a PSD as a TGA and other image formats. It's cool, quick and all. The bad thing is that once I switch to a new level set I have to reset it to that path. Is there anyway to have it be relative file path instead of absolute? So it'll just save like in PSD folder then up folder up instead…
Hey Felix thanks for this! Definitely a quality quick save script, checked out the free version and decided to purchase a single license. I have a question however pertaining to the Custom Path section of the settings. I noticed a checkbox for "Relative to PSD" Is there a way to automatically save out one folder up…
Hey kwshipman thanks for replying! i was just about to post the pictures and i read your edit, so i changed the file type from .PSD to .PNG and that fixed it! thanks alot for replying and just for future referrence whats the problem between max and .PSD's? do you need some kind of specific settings?
I have it on my PS2 with 2 sets of the Anniversary joysticks (PS2 and xbox compatible). Though I don't think it'll work with the 360, unless there's some cheap hack setup for it floating around on the internetz. Its by far the best Street Fighter title I've ever played. Oh, and Ken for the win! SHORYU-REPPA! -caseyjones
I have to agree with you soul, after playing the prince of persia series and ninja gaiden this game lacked alot in the gameplay department. I was dissapointed with the visuals in the xbox release, looked like a straight port of the ps2 version and even then the graphics looked dated compared to what you should be seeing…
This is what happens when xbots go and write totally unbiased "open minded" PS3 reviews. I'm as indifferent to the PS3 as the next guy, I don't own one and probably won't for some time. I haven't played killzone so I can't defend it or criticize it but I'd love hear this guys thoughts on Halo.
ooooh, sexay! It was great working with ya Adam, and we're all damn happy that you got a fulltime gig now. Oogh - yes it's being ported to PSP. Most of the enviornment textures were reduced to 1/2 - 1/4 their original size (most are 64x64, with a few 128's). PSP screenies are located here
that's a tricky one. Quake 3 took a hybrid approach with the torso, head and legs being separate skinned meshes. quake and quake2 were just canned vertex animation iirc I think it'll mostly be games that also launched on ps1 / equivalents that did this tbh. virtua fighter and tekken did it iirc
You're sacrificing some really important shapes while leaving hardly-noticable detail intact. For instance the guy's upper legs are extremely thin and he's lacking any hips, but you did leave in the slight indent on the inside of the feet. The wrists also need some thickness, and I'm not sure of having a separate…
