A little Polycount hiccup today
You might have seen something like this today. Oopsie! We had a little mistake from our domain registrar this morning, they didn't auto-renew LIKE WE ASKED THEM TO. Oh well, all solved now, with a little manual jibbery-jabbery. Sorry if this prevented you from using Polycount. We like being used. Use me, baby! Etc. etc. -

My advise .... reset settings and adjust them one by one. It worked wonder on my end. Do not crank up everything at once like in the Quake days. Play, go in settings, change 1 parameter, go back in game test it out, etc, etc, etc. This is how it should be done. -

Are you completely brand new to 3d ? Have you done anything 3d before ? Got anything to show ? Which area of 3d modelling do you wanna do ? Characters, environment, cars, guns, dragons, etc etc etc. Give us some details as to where you are, and what are you looking for. -

Clothing accessories in ZBrush
I am looking for ways of creating belts, seam lines, trouser flies etc for when character modeling in Zbrush. The cloth folds themselves, I had quite well. Does anyone have any advice? Do most people scope out these parts in another application (max/maya/blender etc)? A good example would be this guy and the braces / belt… -

Absolutely, the main reason I do it is performance, to keep the draw calls as low as possible. Not only do I have only 1 texture per model, I like to share textures between models too where possible, so polygons of varying materials don't get shuffled up in the render list, creating possibly a draw call every other polygon… -

If you want to pursue 3d, you can always learn online. (way cheaper) You could pick any college with arts program (doesn't have to be 3d program). It also probably gonna help you greatly if you know what you want to make... (characters, guns, cars, houses, etc etc etc)
