Hi, I am making a game (Just for the heck of it :P) I will have to make all the media for the game, so I wanted to see if that is possible because I'm not that artistic I would really like some comments on what I did wrong on the character below. I'm drawing a blank on what style to define it as, but it is not suppose to…
its red because rays are missing i don't usually bake with cages because they're a pain in the arse but make sure the cage is encompassing the high poly and if you have any control over projection distances, try making them a bit larger
I keep running into an issue where whenever I try to bake an ID map from the Material Color, the result is just a solid red map. As a test, I ran a bake on this mesh (Made in 3DS Max, exported as FBX) : The result is a solid red map: I know this used to work correctly a few years ago, but now it just feels completely…
What was done on the Train level for Uncharted 2 where it constantly goes up and down, left and right was there was 1 main prototype train track created (in your case a road section). And then a ton of variants made of that piece to account for all the possible variations like left turn up 15 degrees, left turn down 35…

Hi there, I'm making an engine and I'm having a lot of trouble with the bake phase. My idea was that since I have many objects instantiated/duplicated to save space in the UV I decided to just bake with the original piece and delete all the other objects so they don't take up space. Since they have the same normal info.…
Hi! I'm currently working on a scene, a corridor and I want to have a carpet at the center of it, running from the entire length of the corridor, I'll put some references below. I also want this carpet to have small folds and wrinkles and maybe some torn fabric parts at the edges. My references are I thought about modeling…
Not bad. Personally He doent scream slave to me. The idea is definetly a Cool one and you could do so much more to make him an original looking orc because He,s a slave. what i would do ( dont know if you would) is go back to the sculpting phase an make him look worn out completely. scars, broken teeth a huncback, deformed…
So, worked on it more and even managed to get all the things into Skyrim! :) The only missing thing is actually setting up a custom sword & shield instead of overwriting current models like now. Skyrim makes everything so flat, it's disappointing. So I made a Marmoset render too. http://www.pioldes.com Modeling/Texture…
Hey guys, I'm not sure if this topic has already been covered somewhere but I never actually learned some good tips about how to craft a good reel by using software like After Effects, Fusion or Nuke or whatever. I've used a very simple approach in photoshop and movie maker but I always see a lot of interesting reels with…
