It basically needs a UV layout with no overlapping faces so you dont necessarily need a second UV channel if you can use the same layout for texturing as well. I don't know how Unity handles that though. -

For anyone who may have the same problem as in cycloverid's 1st problem: You can change the layout from display>configure layout so you can adjust the camera from a default camera viewport while looking through it in another viewport. -

Hi VikingJim. To me usually something like this happens when I have some UVs outside the layout. It could be something that you left outside the UV layout because it´s still wip, but those polygons are part of the basemesh. Good luck -

Those UVs are not good. They may work okay for painting directly on the surface in painter, but they'd be a nightmare to work with anywhere else. A good UV layout will be easy to parse on its own, should have a logical arrangement of shells based on material type and large rectangular pieces should be straight and axis… -

UV Sphere Mapping Problem
I'm using Maya 2018. I'm trying to apply a displacement map to this sphere so it's seamless from all angles. The material I'm using is aiStandardSurface, if that's any help.
