Here are some final animation renders. just to show the characters in their environment. As these projects arrives to an end, I will take on the robot Pirate character designs and begin to model them, this time I will play a bit more with Zbrush. I will post the progress on here.
okay a couple things got locomotion started for the kusarikku. I love this guy. i've realized that doing so much animations for so many hours, i tend to get tunnel vision and lose ability to critique my work usefully. click the textures tab and scroll down, there are two matcap sets @ $20 a piece. If you purchased them from Gnomon but forgot your login or what-have-you then you should contact their support, don't ask someone to pirate the matcaps for you.
your right it does indeed look cool, breaks things up a bit and makes it more remember-able, deff was the right choice on your part - however still doesn't seem piratical to me :P but that doesn't matter, good progress man
That space pirate crew photo is the only photo I ever needed to see for this photo. If disney had just released that photo and kept everything else in the dark for Star Wars. No cast, or director or anything. I would still be pumped to see this movie.

id say check out pirate baby cabana street fight 2006 its a fake gameplay movie of a none exisiting game do somthign like that with lowpoly 3d models also the machinima ( game engine render) idea is really good !
yeah im pretty slow with reply as well lol. i barely use poly count. but yeah were working on a undersea adventure where you play as an undead pirate who has to claim his ship back fromt he sea floor
