I like the idea, I'm just not sure why they had to Disney-fy Disney designs. Their heads are a tad too big in-game and their fingers too short, I'll bet the animators were less than delighted at that. It's got good prospects though, if they get more out of it than just a cheap cash-in. The Incredibles in the same universe as Toy Story? Yes please.
They'll be releasing sets of movies as they come out with new movies and stuff. So that means more characters and features of what they can do in game. This should be pretty big i think.
TeeJay, Skylanders is great fun. i play with my son and it really is fun. I've also played solo. It is a really cool mechanic and the games fun in general.
My little nephews cant shut up about skylanders so im sure this will be an even bigger hit because of these known disney ips. im sure they`ll make a lot of money of this.
I'm more interested to know about how they'll branch out after the initial release. From what I can tell 'Skylanders' has new packs that come out or series I guess? Being as most the Infinity characters are from recent Disney releases (I'm assuming because they're more identifiable with kids right now) do you think they'll eventually touch on some of the older classics as well? I think it'd be neat if they had a Robin Hood set with Sherwood Forest or maybe Aladdin with Carpet for racing.
Also, if no one has considered it....Disney does own Marvel and Star Wars now too...I'll just let that sink in for a moment.
Yo, homepersons! I'm an environment artist on Disney Infinity's Toybox mode. Glad you like the game so far!
If you're curious, me and 2 other guys worked on most of the stuff in the announce trailer after the 1:43 timestamp (and much, much more). Never a dull moment when you're juggling toy-styled assets for 20+ separate Disney properties!
Unimpressed with the fact that they're even going to be milking money out of people with power-ups and levels, not just characters. But it's Disney, so not a huge surprise.
I would say characters will be around 15 euros each, with power-ups at 5 (y'know, the perfect point for a weekly treat that children can reasonably demand)
I wonder if they'll give power-up discs with Happy Meals etc.?
I guess we already know what Christmas 2014's biggest toy is.
I've been hooked on this since launch day. Only problem was having to play all the campaigns/playsets to unlock toys and spins to use for a week before actually having the flexibility build things in the toy box (kind of blew my mind they would have simple and necessary things like their visual scripting toys in their slot machine type mechanic.)
Even with that, I've been staying up late the last few nights just building new types of maps and playing around with scripting bits. It's a lot of fun! Anyone else play on Xbox?
I'm sure you guys liked having money. Welp, now they're bringing in some of the Marvel universe. The live show is having some difficulties but in it we saw Nick Fury, Black Widow, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Iron Man, Hawkeye, Loki, M.O.D.O.K., Green Goblin, and Spiderman.

Always love the Disney stuff, too bad I didn't work on these i would have loved it congrats to those that did, I hate you.
And shit at the end you see Wreck-it Ralph... Grrr!
Edit:
Didn't want to flame them for the Sky-landers thing...I thought that was a given.
I must have a little Wall-E for my desk, they better make one!

Awesome work so far to the team FO SHO!
:poly122:
C-3PO and Wall-E, make it happen.
I hope someone somewhere has a patent on this tech, because they are soon to be stinking rich.
Also. WTF? How is there not an Incredibles 4-player co-op brawler yet???!
