IMO, the spikes around the sphere pop up too fast. They almost look instant, especially compared to the progression of the forward moving rift. Slow the initial spike movement by 25-50%, and have it slow down as it reaches its full height.
Had them out when I was 25 or 26, they were causing pain and one of the impacted ones had a big cavity in it. My employer's dental insurance covered it all and I'm not really that perturbed by surgery so I went and did it.

Well to be fair, it is earning real money. You essentially provide a service (similar to being a cashier) rather than a product (selling produce to a store). Service providers' 5% comes out of the 75% cut (valve) rather than the 25% (artists).
*Facepalm* xD I guess I didn't read all the way through. I had to rush out to get chicken. Got myself 25 kilos of chicken breasts on sale. I am good for the next month here. xD

This project is a Modular hallway set that is all hand painted. For my concept i am trying to go for a MMO hallway much like in world of warcraft where it can fit 25 + people. Updated WIP: Here is my first stab at a hand painted texture. crits needed!
Are you positive on this, I've heard otherwise. Also the things pointed out in this article seem to say otherwise as well. Double check with your copyright layer friend to make sure. http://www.plagiarismtoday.com/2006/08/25/the-myth-of-poor-mans-copyright/
This is a rather odd comment. First off, what does optimally actually mean, and how do you come up with 50%? Secondly, if you're only using 50% of a 2K texture, you're using 1024x2048 worth of resolution, not 1024x1024, that would be 25%.
