What do you get out of this? Was my 1st thoughts, if it is already answered i did NOT click the link. In the future it would be interesting how things "evolve/change-naturally/adapt", to people eventually realizing that there is an opportunity for a youtube channel producer, to make videos of websites and viewing an entire…
Shouldn't be any difficulties, you just need snapping enabled (with vertex mode on). Sometimes this can be problematic because modo likes to swap from vertex mode back to geometry when you change your tool or drop your selection. (that's with 701 era snapping anyway). The only other thing I can think of is maybe check that…
I really love the concept. Not sure how you are going to make this Beast look warm and moving to make her seem to be in love. Can't wait to see it finished. There is just one thing bothering me albeit a great sculpt it seems more male than female. The muscles of the arms and a bit of the chest too even with the 4 breasts.…
Agreed, especially regarding the bedroom and the professor layton piece looking great. The only thing that stood out negatively to me immediately was the UV layout of the market stand. There doesn't seem to be a good reason to have the tabletops/shelves rotated at 45 degrees and have the edges stick out that way, only to…
Hey guys - just curious what your thoughts are on maintaining remote jobs at studios rather than moving for jobs? I currently live in a city that does not have a big game dev scene and most of the jobs would require me to move. Ive managed to work remote for a couple studios the last few years while living here, which has…
I suggest baking some AO in. They're all very flat. Also look at creating some gradients for them. Not sure about the tanks, either. The materials aren't really reading as anything. Perhaps add some more detail in? Panels and stuff? Gradients: http://media.steampowered.com/apps/dota2/workshop/Dota2CharacterArtGuide.pdf…
Yeah it's always a bit odd seeing such great directors totally jumping on tech bandwagons just for the sake of it - like Cameron with 3D. Still, indeed, tech is great - as a matter of fact I'd love to see 3D and VR being used on a very stationery movie. A Reservoir Dogs kind of setting, with a fixed camera viewpoint and…
It's helpful to know if you're pursuing in cinematic or games, so I can tailor my critique. First impressions: -- The first shot is not bad, though it lacks some urgency both in posing and timing. If you're going for games, I'd make this a bit more aggressive, otherwise it's good as a mechanics piece. -- The dino piece has…
This is the first character for my game demo. It's the first time I model something for a video game (I come from VFX). Next step: UV unfolding, which is something I actually love to do. Sculpting, then textures and look dev. After this, let's see how it moves in Unreal.
I'm excited to share news with the community that Wall Worm 7 is now out with a vast array of new features and tools for both Source 1 and Source 2. Among the new features is a new Asset Browser that replaces the older MDL browser and VMT browser. There's a lot more in the release. Read the Wall Worm 7 Release…
