Hi there! Here's my latest work. Fully sculpted with ZBrush. I am creating a series of illustrations based on the 14 creatures here on the bridge. This is my first outdoor scene illustration. It was a pain to create, but also very fun Some ZBrush screenshots: The 14 soldiers who are on the bridge: Focus on some of soldiers:…
Without getting too sappy, I can't stress how great it felt to get this surprise in my email. I had no idea he was even planning to do this. My mom said he made a bucket list after seeing the movie (The Bucket List) and that this was the first thing on the list for him. He even chose one of my favorite pieces. He said he…
Heya everyone, just finished up this prop and had a blast making it. Lately I have been doing little stylized projects like this over the weekend to help me relax/not stress and to take a break from larger projects. Let me know what you all think and what/if you like to do quick, little projects like this between the time…
Hey guys, so I've been reading up about Quality Assurance, and have had testing experience (reporting bugs etc), but only from a users standpoint. I'm just wondering if there's any software used for testing a game, or for the QA process other than playing the game. (stress testing? runtime diagnostics?) Just wanna know…
http://www.thatcloudgame.com/ Just played this game and I figure it needs a bit of recognition from polycount. Those of you who are interested in game design will find this game particularly interesting. It was created by some kids at USC, apparently funded by EA. This is probably one of the most relaxing little games I've…
I think readability is an important thing that is lost when graphics keep getting higher fidelity. There is only so many pixels on the screen, its not same as real life. Has to be some empty space. I'm probably in a minority but for example I found it stressful on eyes to play some of the modern big AAA shooters lately.…
I like the color scheme. It is easier on the eyes. If I'm not doing something on my 2nd monitor I usually have PC up because its less bright than other websites. I've seen F.lux on someone elses computer and it just looked wrong to me. I'm sure it helps with eye stress but it jacks your colors up, tinting things orange and…
yeah today i focus on major form. For the high poly version i've no poly limitation, for the low poly i've to make 3 lod it will be a stress test for a private engine so polycount of the test model will be higher than the final one. range 3-5k,10-15k,50-200k i think i'll try to use ptext for the highpoly one and see if they…
Thanks for the feedback guys, appreciate it! Going to get to work now :) BTW, the purple bit at the bottom is a piece of cloth, the weird geo is because I ran a simulation on a SubD mesh to create the stress lines. I simply used Poly-Redux to lower the final polycount, hence the weird triangles. Also, the triangles on the…
As tempting as it may be to paint and embellish your mesh, I can't stress how important it is to work slowly and carefully. To be perfectly honest, I really think it would be more beneficial to learning if you did a generic human bust instead of a tattered meth head bust (as fun as it may be, haha). Check out…
